1. Sellers are ready to sell
The home was listed in the spring. There have been showings, maybe an offer or two, but the home is still active on the market. The market is slowing down in the winter months as the year winds down. The high list price in the spring has been reduced. The seller is keeping the home on the market in hopes of procuring a sale. This can open the door for the buyer to become more aggressive with a purchase and ultimately get a better deal.
2. There is less inventory(less confusion)
It’s the middle of summer and you’ve been searching for a home to buy. You’ve looked at what seems like every home and like something from each one but can’t make a decision one way or the other. Sometimes when there are so many listings to choose from, it begins to cloud your brain and keeps you from landing the home of your dreams. With less inventory available, it can make the decision process easier for you and eliminate the “cloud” feeling you get when there is an overload of inventory.
3. The focus is on you!
You’re dreading buying a home because you think an agent may not have time for you. You want to be the center of attention in the home-buying process, as you should be. The winter months are less busy in the winter months and can create a more personal experience through the home-buying process. It's my goal to always provide a fun, knowledgeable, and personal experience during the home-buying process and to make sure that all of your questions are answered promptly. Not to mention, it’s the holiday season and an exciting time to be shopping for your new home!
4. Capitalize on great deals over the holidays
Many local furniture stores and home décor stores have great deals this time of year. Bear Creek Traders, Grand Central Station Furniture Store, Lowes and many other local stores have great deals for you to finish your new home just the way you visualized it.
5. Start the new year off with excitement!
You’re already excited about the new year and another new chapter. You’re looking forward to what the new year brings and are excited to get things going.
What more exciting way to start the year off than to be buying a home in Garrett County and Deep Creek Lake. I’d enjoy the opportunity to help you land the home of your dreams in the coming year!
